Main Line Philadelphia Landscaping Design Using 3D Photographic Images

Aardweg Landscaping is the Main Line Philadelphia landscaping firm that makes the process of designing and installing your new front yard or backyard gardens an easy, exciting and convenient process. We are a one-stop-shop offering every landscape design, installation and maintenance product and service you need, including:

The Aardweg Process.
Aardweg Landscaping does it all! The process starts when you meet with Steve Aardweg, a landscape design professional bringing many years of design and installation expertise to your home, and together you create a plan for your landscape design.

3D Photographic Image Design Options.
In addition to the traditional design techniques of 2D landscape master plan drawing, Aardweg Landscaping offers the exciting new 3D photographic imaging process that homeowners love. Photographs are taken of the garden areas surrounding your home, or gardens located around the property; and the proposed new landscape design is created with the actual garden areas as a backdrop to the photo.

3D Imaging is an Exciting and Affordable Option.
No more guessing about whether you will like something; or hoping the landscape designer’s ideas are really what you want – now you can see the design in full 3D color. Realistic images of specific plants, shrubs, trees, grass, mulch, hardscapes, water features, landscape lighting and more, are shown in the pictures. This affordable option helps clients to easily visualize the final design and provides a detailed picture of the selection, composition, scale, and layering of the plants.

Home Staging with Landscaping at Your Philadelphia Main Line Residence

Springtime has arrived here along the Philadelphia Main Line  — days are longer, the temperature is warmer and spring flowers are blooming. Many homeowners are performing property maintenance and cleaning out garden beds and shrub areas in preparation for Home Staging with Landscaping at Your Philadelphia Main Line Residenceplanting flowers or spending time in the garden.

For those homeowners planning to list their properties for sale, you will be most concerned about creating attractive curb appeal and completing exterior upgrades as part of home staging. Professional landscape improvements are well known for adding value to your property.  Experts estimate that professional landscaping can add as much as 12% to your home value.

First impressions are critical, so as you stage your home, think about the first impressions potential buyers will have as they approach your home and property. What needs to be done, to guarantee a positive first impression? There are a few important focal areas that must be landscaped and well-maintained, such as the…

Gardened Mail Box Area.
You want to spruce up the mail box area with flowering plants and an edge around the garden area.  If your mail box needs any paint or upgrades, upgrading your mailbox and post are a good investment. A splash of color at the front of the house is an eye-catching plus. For maximum impact, choose one color and vary the height of plants.

Main Entrance Area.
Adding attractive, well-balanced, layered shrubs, flowering plants, and trees in the area surrounding the main approach to your front door creates a stunning impression of the entrance area.   If your entrance area is overgrown with shrubbery and other plants; trim it back and replace selected plants with well scaled perennials or flowering foundation plants. Evening curb appeal is created by adding low voltage landscaping lighting along walkways, as spots focused on attractive architectural or landscape features. Add an attractive door décor as part of your home staging that communicates a warm welcome year round, and promotes the beauty of your Philadelphia Main Line residence.

Main Entrance Walkway.
Flagstone hardscaped walkways add a rich texture and character to the main approach to your home. Low, slow growing plants or ground cover may be planted along the walkway. Any other areas around your property such as the back yard seating areas, side doors, decks, and patios, should be landscaped with gardens and flowerbeds.

Front and Back Yard MaintHome Staging with Landscaping at Your Philadelphia Main Line Residenceenance.
Finally, finish it all off by completing basic yard care such as edging sidewalks, trimming shrubs, clear out debris from garden beds, mow the lawn and rake and dispose of leaves, even if your lot is wooded. Trim tree limbs that are near the house or touching the home’s roof.

Professional quality landscaping for curb appeal is a necessary home improvement prior to staging your home to sell. Professional landscaping is one of the essential home improvements to stage your home for sale, and it has been proven to have an excellent return on investment.

Foundation planting for shade in Berwyn - Aardweg Landscaping

March is finally here and The 2012 Philadelphia International Flower Show – ‘Hawaii: Islands of Aloha’ is about to begin! Running Sunday, March 4 through Sunday, March 11 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the Flower Show will feature many gorgeous garden displays, featured presentations,  and showcase exhibitors.  For a list of all of the exhibits, visit the International Flower Show Exhibits Page. Here is a brief synopsis of what to expect:

Again this year, more than 60 professional landscapers, florists, and horticultural organizations have spent on average 18 months in advance planning and nurturing plants for the 2012 Flower Show. They have created life-sized floral presentations and gardens that will amaze and enchant visitors from around the world.

These expert designers are competing for that treasured “Best in Show” for their individual categories, in addition to many other awards. They have worked very hard and strategically forced a wide array of plants into bloom in preparation for this 8 day Hawaii Islands of Aloha extravaganza, anticipating a record breaking crowd in excess of the 265, 000 visitors that attended in 2011.

Spring Display of Boxwoods with a Sea of Myosotis - Aardweg Landscaping

Leading the list of major exhibitors is the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society sponsoring the 2012 Central Feature, entitled “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha” it was designed and created by Waldor Orchids, of Linwood, New Jersey. Flower Show visitors will encounter the central “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha” feature upon arrival and be presented with a visual display of crashing waves and one of the biggest assemblies of white orchids and anthuriums ever gathered in one place. Showcasing more than 2,000 orchids, including everything from dendrobiums to vandas; the feature will also include a variety of native and tropical plants.

Quoting the website, “Towering palms, bamboo, and a tropical plant canopy will immerse visitors in the Hawaiian rainforest. A 25-foot-high waterfall will splash down into Pele’s Garden, an island of exotic flowers and plants where performers will conjure volcanic flames and the Fire Goddess.” Many of the exhibits are described in detail on the Flower Show blog. For more information about tickets and directions, visit the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society website.
